There is nothing more fun than having cocktails with your friends. A cocktail is a mixed drink that usually has one or more types of liquors such as vodka, gin, whiskey, rum or tequila combined with fruit juices or other mixers – such as milk, cream and tonic water, with spices, honey or sugar added, and can be garnished with fruits and veggies.
Cocktails are festive. What makes drinking cocktails fun is that drinks vary from bartender to bartender, with no two drinks being identical. Besides the beauty of some of these drinks, the flavors can be amazing.
Cocktails can have medicinal value if you judge them based solely on the alcohol content, but when these alcohols are combined with sugary mixes, the health value is diminished. What I worry most about is the caloric content of these beverages. They are fattening. My whole thing is that you have to live, and having a cocktail occasionally is living.

- The chief flavoring agent in gin is the highly aromatic blue-green berry of the juniper, a low-slung evergreen bush that is commercially grown in northern Italy, Croatia, the United States and Canada. Additional botanicals can include anise, angelica root, cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and cassia bark. All gin makers have their own secret combination of botanicals, the number of which can range from as few as four to as many as 15.
